Cohort One Virtual Classroom- Week 3

Virtual Classroom Participants will attend a virtual classroom with members of their cohort. The focus of this class is to discuss Section One - Foundations of Peer Support.

The 3 modules in this section cover how:

• Trauma impacts the brain, body and behaviour,

• To use techniques like active listening to communicate with a peer in a way that prioritizes safety, consent and the peers autonomy,

• To encourage a peer’s independence and support self-directed healing.

Modules for Section 2 - Trauma, communication and boundaries - will be released for self-paced learning over the next two weeks.
